The UK government said on Oct. 2 that it plans to change the requirements for refugees to permanently settle in the UK and end the automatic right of those granted asylum to bring their families to the country.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said there will be no “golden ticket” for those wanting to remain, and he planned to introduce a requirement for refugees to earn their right to stay long term.
