    Millions of dollars’ worth of Canadian technology has been funnelled through a network of Hong Kong–based shell companies to Russia’s military, evading sanctions, according to a new report by two human rights organizations.

    Hong Kong has become the world’s largest transshipment hub for high-priority Western technology feeding Moscow and other hostile governments, with Canadian technology reaching Russia’s war machine against Ukraine via supply chains running through the Beijing-ruled city, says an Oct. 28 report by the Committee for Freedom in Hong Kong (CFHK) Foundation and the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights.
